18montrose has recently opened an expansive, flexible retail space located in the heart of King's Cross. Presenting apparel, footwear, and design within a unique event theatre.
The atmosphere of the space is purposefully dark, allowing for the manipulation of the light and environment to turn the location from a retail store into an event space. Seamless transformation of the space via the arrangement of light, colour, rhythm, organisation and function creates a multi faceted space within fashion and design at its core.
Monochrome, standardised storage containers serve to accentuate the qualities of the space, creating a strong contrast between presentation and the neutral colour of the space. Divided into three zones, 18montrose uses distinctive display materials that correspond with the lighting and visual backdrop of each area. Moving images interact between surfaces, creating a retail environment that is finely tuned to better the shopping experience.
