Steph Curry Says He 'For Sure' Wants to Spend His Whole Career With the Warriors

"I love the Bay Area, man," Curry told Bill Simmons. "The only reason I go home [to Charlotte] now is if my sister's getting married or to go play the Hornets for that one game, so I haven't really been back much."

It's sad to consider, but Steph Curry's golden years as an NBA player may be nearing their conclusion. Curry is 30, and NBA point guards traditionally don't age gracefully. Thus, some have already started considering whether Curry will finish his career with Golden State.

Would he consider a homecoming in Charlotte in his final years? Or maybe accept the challenge of leading a young team elsewhere?

Curry wants to stay in the Bay Area. During an interview with Bill Simmons, Curry said he "for sure" wants to stick with Golden State until his playing days are up. "For sure I do," Curry said. "This is home. This is where I want to be, for obvious reasons."

The Warriors drafted Curry No. 7 in 2009, after the Minnesota Timberwolves famously selected two point guards immediately before him. He's spent nine seasons with GSW and has won three titles and two MVPs.

"I love the Bay Area, man," Curry said. "The only reason I go home now is if my sister's getting married or to go play the Hornets for that one game, so I haven't really been back much. I haven't put my mind there."

Of course, there's reason to believe Curry's career could last longer than expected given what we've seen from 33-year-old LeBron James in recent years—but Curry has taken a beating and suffered numerous ankle injuries during his career, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him slow down in the next few years.
