Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey created a few new enemies in his GQ interview by deciding to deliver his unfiltered opinion on practically every starting NFL quarterback.
Who knew that hate would extend to the wives of these signal callers around the league? Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly posted a response to Ramsey’s remarks on her Instagram Story, wondering why GQ would even bother to interview him. "There is nothing ‘GQ’ about him," she wrote. "Just seems like a complete waste of time and space."
Of all the wives who would come out in defense of their starting NFL quarterback husbands, it’s shocking that Kelly was the first one to come forward. Ramsey wasn’t even all that critical of Stafford. “Matthew Stafford, I think he's straight," Ramsey told GQ. "I don't think he the best quarterback out there. But he do what he gotta do.” As for her questioning why Ramsey would even be interviewed by GQ, it's simple—he's not afraid to speak his mind, and backs up his trash talk by being a top five cornerback.
In a league where players are consistently critiqued for the way they handle themselves on the field and during the playing of the national anthem, Ramsey is a much needed breath of fresh air. If these quarterbacks are so upset with Ramsey's remarks about them, they knew how to settle the score, and it's on the field.
