Shannade Clermont's case is heading to trial. Last month, Clermont was charged with wire fraud, access device fraud, and aggravated identity theft after she allegedly stole a deceased man's debit cards and ran up a $20,000 bill. Although she was already charged, she still had to be indicted by a grand jury to move forward with the trial. And according to court documents obtained by The Blast, that's exactly what happened. Clermont was indicted on all three felony counts she was charged with earlier this year.
If convicted, Clermont faces up to 20 years for wire fraud, a 15-year maximum sentence for access device fraud, and 2-7 years for aggravated identity theft. Depending on the judge, she could spend 42 years in prison if the sentences don't run concurrently. She'll also have to forfeit anything she allegedly bought with the stolen debit card and pay back any additional money that was stolen.
Clermont is best known for starring in the reality TV series, Bad Girls Club, and as one-half of the Clermont twins, who were featured in Kanye West's Yeezy Season 6 presentation. Shortly after her arrest, Clermont was released on $100,000 bail. However, as The Blast notes, authorities claim she broke her bail agreement by traveling without approval.
In the meantime, Clermont seems to be enjoying her freedom. In one of her latest Instagram posts, she and her twin sister shared a photo of them posted up in an orange knitted get-up. They're also listening to Nicki Minaj's Queen on their Instagram Stories.
Clermont is due back in court later this month.
