YouTube personality and anti-revenge porn advocate Chrissy Chambers finally won a long-running case against her ex-boyfriend this week.

Chambers and her girlfriend Bria Kam run a successful Youtube channel called BriaAndChrissy that has over 750,000 followers, but she's also been in the middle of an ugly court battle with her ex-boyfriend for years. The court case began after Chambers found out he uploaded six videos of the two performing sexual acts to a pornographic website as revenge after the two broke up.

Because she didn't own the copyrights to the videos, Chambers was unable to force the website to remove the videos when she finally discovered them a year and a half after they were posted. Chambers says she was unconscious and unaware she was being filmed at the time.

After building a career as a singer on YouTube, her lawyer says some of Chambers' fans believed she had intentionally been involved in making pornography when they discovered the videos and unfollowed her.

Chambers crowdfunded over $30,000 to cover the legal fees necessary to file a civil case. On Wednesday, she finally won. Her ex-boyfriend was forced to sign the copyright for the films over to Chambers and will have to take measures to delete and destroy videos that remain on the internet.

Following the victory, Chambers said in a statement, "[This] should serve as a severe warning to those who seek to extort and harm with revenge porn: you cannot do this with impunity, and you will be held accountable for your actions. To every victim of this insidious kind of attack, I am here to say: You can fight back, and win. You will heal and move on—and you will not have to take those steps alone."

Chambers, who was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and continued to have flashbacks and nightmares following the ordeal, paired the victory with more good news: she got engaged to her longtime girlfriend Bria Kam.

Sharing the news with her fans who have been closely following her difficult legal battle over the past two years, Chambers excitedly posted on Twitter: "I won my revenge porn case and also asked the most incredible girl to marry me."
