Donald Trump Praises Kanye West Following 'Kimmel' Appearance: 'He Is Willing to Tell the Truth'

"Thank you to Kanye West and the fact that he is willing to tell the TRUTH," Trump tweeted.

Donald Trump took to Twitter to praise Kanye West following his Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance.

"Thank you to Kanye West and the fact that he is willing to tell the TRUTH," Trump wrote.

Thank you to Kanye West and the fact that he is willing to tell the TRUTH. One new and great FACT - African American unemployment is the lowest ever recorded in the history of our Country. So honored by this. Thank you Kanye for your support. It is making a big difference!

During the interviewJimmy Kimmel and Kanye talked about mental health, porn, slavery, and, of course, 'Ye's support for the aforementioned Trump guy. "Just as a musician, African American, everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me and then told me that I couldn't say that I like Trump," Kanye said. Kimmel continued to question Kanye's support for Trump and brought up the administration's policy of separating children from their parents at the border. “Whether we like his personality or not, his actions are really what matter," Kimmel said. "You so famously and so powerfully said ‘George Bush doesn’t care about black people.’ It makes me wonder, what makes you think that Donald Trump does?” Kanye then went awkwardly silent and the show cut to commercial break.

Jimmy Kimmel was able to get Kanye West to open up and tell America why he loves Trump so much. Kanye West was speechless... literally! pic.twitter.com/EEW95FrCyt
