Samsung isn’t letting all that “Apple is a trillion dollar company now” talk get to it. The company announced today its new Galaxy Watch, further cementing its position in the smartwatch department. Samsung’s version of this gadget is different from other companies' in that the device is designed to look more like a stylish watch that just happens to have 3G/LTE connectivity and works seamlessly with other Samsung products.

The two new watches come in two models: a larger 46mm version, which comes in silver, and a smaller 42mm one that comes in black and rose gold. The device can be highly personalized and comes with a digital assistant that will keep you up to date with your everyday tasks. Predictably, the Galaxy Watch can be integrated with Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, and SmartThings, as well as third-party apps such as Spotify.

Other cool features include 5 ATM water resistance that allows the watch to follow you into the pool or the shower. The watch will be equipped with a heart rate monitor that tracks your baseline and reminds you to relax when needed. The watch also boasts new stress management, breathing features, sleep pattern tracking, and fitness tracking, including 21 new indoor exercises and 39 tracked workouts. It’ll even keep up with your calorie and water intake throughout the day.

The watch will be available for purchase in the U.S. at Amazon, Best Buy, and Samsung.com starting August 24, 2018. However, if you preorder before September 8 on the Samsung website, you’ll receive a free Samsung watch band. The Bluetooth version of the larger watch will put you back $349.99, and the smaller will cost $329.99. The LTE version of the watch will also be available at AT&T, Samsung.com, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon, along with select major national retailers later this year; pricing for this model is not yet available.
