Followers of Alex Jones are having a tough time keeping up with the latest from the radio show host.
After being banned from nearly every major social media site, the far-right conspiracy theorist was dealt another blow on Wednesday: a pirate radio station that rebroadcasts his programming was shut down by the Federal Communications Commission.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, operators of Liberty Radio have allegedly refused to pay a $15,000 fine issued by the FCC. The lawsuit, which was filed in federal court, claims that the station was operating without a license since at least 2013. The defendants, Walter Olenick and M. Rae Nadler-Olenick, are accused of illegally transmitting from a tower at an Austin apartment complex.
The station’s website states it stopped broadcasting on FM radio back in December, but has retained its online stream.
“We are committed to spreading the word of truth. We have chosen the best schedule possible to accomplish this endeavor,” Liberty Radio’s site reads.
The station’s programming lineup includes The Alex Jones Show, The Vaccine Myth, Rule of Law Radio, and The Secret Truth with George Butler.
Jones is now battling a defamation lawsuit filed by the parents of children killed in the Sandy Hook massacre. The far-right figure has also been banned by various online platforms—like YouTube, Facebook, Spotify, and most recently Vimeo—for violating the terms of their anti-hate speech policies.
