The war on women rages on. Mississippi Gov./MAGA minion Phil Bryant screwed women in the state by signing House Bill 1510, which bans abortions after 15 weeks in one of the country’s most restrictive abortion laws.

Bryant is somewhat of a pro-life, anti-woman fetishist, stating he wanted Mississippi to be the “safest place in America for an unborn child.” (Don’t get me going on Mississippi’s lax gun laws, and how that figures in to making Mississippi a “safe place.”) Anyway, the only exception to the Draconian law is if the fetus has a health issue that would render it “incompatible with life” outside the womb at full term. Same goes if the pregnant woman’s life or a “major bodily function” is threatened by carrying the pregnancy. However, there are no exceptions for pregnancies resultant of incest or rape.

Reproductive rights activists are calling out the law for being unconstitutional, and an owner of a local abortion clinic has pledged to sue, according to the Clarion-Ledger. Meanwhile, many users on Twitter have taken to the platform to decry the law and its deleterious effect on women's rights.

Someone want to remind me why old men who came of age 30+ years ago are making decisions about women and their bodies?

Omg! I am so glad I live in Canada where my body is my choice! I’m coming from this perspective of a mom who loves her daughter beyond. I’d like to ask these men how they felt during an inconvenient pregnancy...

Because Mississippi needs more poverty, poorly educated, parentless children, and/or struggling parents unable to provide emotional and financial stability.

Mississippi is also #2 for teen pregnancy so I mean

Curious how those who want to ban abortion don't fight so hard for children once they're born or be more supportive of struggling mothers.

You realize banning abortions will not STOP abortions..it will only end SAFE abortions. So basically you're ok with women resorting to dangerous methods of ending their pregnancies. Turning back the clock is never a good idea.
