For its second drop of Spring/Summer 2018, Union Los Angeles pays homage to prominent figures within the Black Power Movement.

The cult menswear boutique unveils the lookbook for its latest in-house collection, showcasing another solid range of workwear staples elevated with afrocentric iconography. The collection includes pieces like military shirting, swim trunks, chinos, as well as mechanics’ and coaches’ jackets—all of which are presented in Union’s signature oversized, boxy silhouettes.

The range is also kept season appropriate with pastel colorways, and bold custom prints, such as the all-over Black Sheep pattern and a floral pattern inspired by African waxprint cloth; however, the collection’s standouts have to be the embroidered bowling shirts, which feature the name and logo of Union’s fictional team, the High Rollers, as well as the names of black activists Charles Mingus and Stokely Carmichael.

You can check out the full Spring/Summer 2018 lookbook below.

The collection will drop April 21 at Union’s L.A. and Tokyo locations, as well as www.unionlosangeles.com and www.uniontokyo.jp.
