British labels Fred Perry and Thames come together for their second collaboration, in the form of a 13-piece ‘his and hers’ collection.
For the collection – titled ‘Fifth Wheel’ – Blondey McCoy digs deep into Fred Perry’s archives, resulting in Thames’ first take on womenswear.
The collection comes complete with heavy knitwear pieces in the form of V-neck jumpers, a tennis bomber, and striped shirt. Fred Perry’s classic shirt is reworked with the Thames logo, along with a two-piece bomber jacket and shorts.
Womenswear within the collection wouldn’t feel out of place on the court, with a pleated tennis dress and skirt coming with a visor to match.
In speaking on the collection, Blondey says: “The collection is inspired by the humdrum routines of British life and the uniforms that attire it.”
Thames will be hosting a launch party at Fred Perry’s Osaka shop to celebrate their second collaboration. The Fred Perry x Thames SS18 collection will be available from March 16th.
