Stone Island deliver their 19th Shadow Project collection, introducing and renewing several core design components such as exploring asymmetry and contrast.
Delving further into functional apparel and the idea of tactile fashion. The brand utilises several dynamic forms of detailing across the entire range - with numerous types of pocket designed and integrated into the collection.
Tilt storage pockets are partitioned series of caches that are integrated by a single zipper that traverses the circumference of the garment, and Chamber Pockets are created for the integration of wireless hardware. Drop pockets serve to offer easy device storage and retrieval, with Articulation Tunnels using elasticity to allow for the adjustment of the tension and shape of the garment.
Across the range, there is a conscious use of premium fabrics that have become a statement for the Shadow Project line maintaining comfort juxtaposed against elaborate engineering. Treatments such as the Metallic Mist creates a matte shimmer on a light nylon, creating a space-age aesthetic that is insulated against the elements.
Further elements of design come in the form of laser engraving, classic knitwear with seamlessly integrated practical functions, and the evolution of The Big Loon Jacquard weave.
