Metta World Peace Proposes New Foul Rule: 'Say Sorry and Give the Player a Hug' to Avoid Free Throws

Imagine if this was a rule when he played.

Metta World Peace

Metta World Peace has suggested an NBA rule change that would not go over well at all. Luckily, he's not on the rules committee and we'd also file it as a mere Twitter joke, so here ya go:

I’m changing Basketball rules . If you foul someone, all you have to do is say sorry and give the player a hug, and they don’t get to shoot free throws because of good sportsmanship . If the opponent refuses the hug, a technical foul will get called on the refuser

This would seem to stand in stark contrast to Metta World Peace's attitude back in the "Ron Artest" days. I mean, I wonder what Ben Wallace would think about that idea:

James Harden too:

How about a nice elbow if they refuse the hug. pic.twitter.com/OZPvepXMIc

Who would want to hug it out after a foul like that?
