Carmelo Anthony played only one season at Syracuse, but the freshman sensation, along with Hakim Warrick, led the Orange to an NCAA title. Anthony, a consensus second-team All-American, was named the Final Four's Most Outstanding Player. Anthony was so good in his lone college season that he went No. 3 in the ensuing draft and Syracuse retired his No. 15.

Carmelo played for Syracuse in 2002-03 and won the NCAA title 15 years ago, but basketball years are essentially the equivalent of human years. At least that's how Jimmy Butler sees it.

Melo was hyped up after his Orange defeated Arizona State in the First Four round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament on Wednesday night. It was a hotly contested game, and the Sun Devils had a chance to win it in the final seconds, but Cuse pulled out a 60-56 win to advance to take on TCU.

Anthony posted a photo gloating on Instagram and rubbed the win in James Harden's face. Harden played his college ball at ASU.

Butler, however, was quick to tell Melo to take a seat. "You ain't played there in 30 years," the Timberwolves star wrote.
