The 2018 NBA All-Star Game was fun. It was a highly competitive matchup between Team LeBron and Team Steph. It actually looked like the stars who played gave it some effort.

A few All-Stars—Kevin Love, John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and Kristaps Porzingis—couldn't play because they were hurt. One All-Star who was healthy, however, chose to sit on the bench.

Jimmy Butler opted not to play. He's put in heavy minutes for the Timberwolves and has battled injuries this season, so he chose to rest Sunday.

Jimmy Butler said he just wanted a rest night. Prioritizing the stretch run of the season and thought the rest would do him well.

Needless to say, if you're a guy who just missed out on playing in the All-Star Game, Butler's decision—despite how logical it was—probably rubbed you the wrong way.

Take Lou Williams, for example. The guy is having his best season as a pro, and many felt he should've been selected for the All-Star Game. Williams is putting up 23.2 points and 5.3 assists per game for the Clippers.

Sweet Lou, who competed in the Skills Challenge Saturday and was eliminated in the first round, had a hilarious response to Butler choosing to sit out.

@JimmyButler u serious bruh? Lol

Williams' Twitter timeline is a thing of beauty. Lou recently re-signed with the Clippers on a three-year, $24 million deal. Many were surprised he accepted, and it's certainly impacted guard market value, but it's a result of the NBA's changing cap situation.

Team LeBron came back in the fourth quarter to win, 148-145. King James, who finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in 31 minutes, was named the game's MVP.
