On Tuesday, a video made the rounds on social media that appeared to show Bow Wow defeating Lakers rookie guard Lonzo Ball in some type of shooting contest. Bow Wow did it while wearing socks.

The jokes practically wrote themselves—Ball has, after all, really struggled with his jumper this season. He's shooting only 31.9 percent from three-point range, though it's worth noting he went 3 for 3 from deep against Atlanta Wednesday and his shot has looked better recently.

Ball, who was the No. 2 pick in the 2017 draft and has had a mostly-good rookie year, also says he didn't actually lose the shootout to Bow Wow. He tweeted out that the narrative that was being spread in the media was untrue, before, of course, using the pub to plug Big Baller Brand. He invoked the company's go-to tagline, "Get your merch."

False advertisement... Getcha facts straight then #geturmerch 🅱️🅱️🅱️ https://t.co/n6ryRiLhAs

Bow Wow actually said the same thing—he may have won one shootout, but Lonzo won two games out of three.

Shout out @ZO2_ the homie got me 2-1 he won the series. Want my REMATCH! Pleasure to have him and the sqaud at the compound. Best of luck bros! Stay healthy #BBB #YEAAHH pic.twitter.com/Bq2x01RZYX
