It's tough being a sports fan. It requires an investment of time, emotion, and money, if you're going all out with decor/fits/game attendance. Now, imagine going above and beyond in support of your squad, only to be jumped by the family of a team member. According to local outlet KABC, that's exactly what happened to lifelong Rams fan Henry Romero, who says he was attacked after a Rams playoff game.

"I felt three big men hitting me," he said. "Hit me in the head, back of the neck and in my face." Romero was left with a fractured eye socket, and later had to receive stitches for an open gash in his forehead.

KABC reports that everything started when Romero and his 13-year-old daughter walked down the stands to the front to see the Rams players and take photos. Soon after, security asked them to move because they were escorting people out who were sitting in the Rams' family section. "The lady behind him, I don't know who it was," Romero said. "We have an idea of who, but (she) kind of started arguing with me: 'You need to move. We're the player's family.'"

Some words were exchanged, and as Romero and his daughter began walking back up to their seats, the shit hit the fan. According to Romero, the woman started a physical altercation. "For her to lunge at me, I was completely caught off guard and that's when she was pushed down," Romero explained. "I just went (down) to kind of protect myself." That's when the aforementioned three big men began wailing on Romero.

The team-related assailants were quickly escorted out of the stadium. The family has since filed a police report, and the LAPD is investigating. Meanwhile, the Rams released a statement, saying, "We are aware of an incident following our game and we are working with authorities to determine exactly what happened."
