The global release of Sean Wotherspoon's Air Max creation, the Air Max 1/97 hybrid model that won him Nike's Vote Forward contest in 2017, is almost here. Official images have finally surfaced of the colorful pair.

Inspired by caps from the '80s, Wotherspoon channeled his love for vintage apparel when he created this pair. To symbolize those caps, the co-founder of Round Two dressed the Air Max 97 upper in various colors of corduroy. Each panel is given its own shade: forest green, blue, pink, purple, and yellow are all used. That 97 upper sits on a cream-colored Air Max 1 sole that's been sectioned into blocks that utilize the same colors as the upper. Additional details on the pair include a blue mini Swoosh on the lateral toe, corduroy pull tabs, Velcro tongue patches that can be switched between a wave or Swoosh, and Swoosh-clad smiley faces on the foot bed. Four lace options will also come pre-packaged with the shoe.

Wotherspoon's Nike Air Max 1/97 will finally receive its official retail release through Nike SNKRS and other select retailers on March 26 (Air Max Day 2018) for $160.
