During a time when Jordan Brand is poised to cash-in on releasing the sneakers most thought would never be available, it's hard to understand the rationale behind dropping a massive amount of cash on a pair of Air Jordans, no matter the rarity. However, that doesn't stop sellers from going after the big bucks, nor buyers from spending them. Recently, an unnamed seller linked up with noted consignment shop Flight Club to potentially flip a pair of unreleased Drake-designed Jordans for a small fortune.
The "Kentucky Madness" Air Jordan 8, which Drake wore to Kentucky Basketball's Big Blue Madness event last Oct, are listed for a cool $40,000. This gold-accented pair that bears the official school logo is a bit more rare than the two "Calipari Pack" colorways that Drake debuted in 2016. The size available is a 9.5.
Surprisingly, this pair isn't even the most expensive listed on Flight Club right now. Somebody is looking to rake in $52,900 for Mark Wahlberg's "Transformers" Air Jordan 5 collaboration.
