The Spike Lee-executive produced anthology film is set to debut this Friday at Fantasia Film Festival. It will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital and On Demand on Oct. 2.

Prepare yourself for more Tales From the Hood.

On Tuesday, Universal 1440 Entertainment shared the first official trailer for the horror classic’s sequel, along with its highly anticipated release date. The upcoming anthology film, which will arrive 23 years after the original, will introduce four new stories that involve “demonic dolls, possessed psychics, vengeful vixens, and historical ghosts.”

Keith David (Community, and Armageddon) will replace Clarence Williams III as the film’s lead character, Mr. Simms. The film will be executive produced by Spike Lee, and will be written and directed by the original creators Darin Scott and Rusty Cundieff. The latter has been teasing the project throughout 2018:

You can you check out the trailer for Tales From the Hood 2 above. David will co-star alongside Bryan Batt, Lou Beatty Jr., Alexandria DeBerry, Bill Martin Williams, Martin Bradford, Kendrick Cross.

The film will debut this Friday at the 22nd Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, Quebec. It will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital and On Demand on Oct. 2.
