Harvey Weinstein Faces New Rape, Assault and Misconduct Allegations in Class Action Lawsuit

Three women came forward and filed a class action lawsuit against Weinstein today, with each described encounter more horrific than the previous one.

Harvey Weinstein, after being indicted on multiple rape charges yesterday, is facing a new class-action lawsuit after three women came forward today with allegations ranging from sexual misconduct and assault to rape.

According to Variety, Melissa Thompson has accused Weinstein of inviting her to his hotel room in 2011, under the pretenses of a business meeting, and then raping her. “Thompson was fighting back, but could not out-muscle him,” the lawsuit states. “Thompson closed her eyes, traumatized, praying for the assault to end.”

Thompson said she visited Weinstein’s office in Tribeca earlier that day, to sell him on the idea of a marketing startup called Intercast Networks. The suit alleges that she produced a video recording of that meeting, with her laptop. While she’s describing Intercast Networks’ business model, Weinstein allegedly touches her legs.

He then promises to make a deal that same day, if only she’d meet him at his Tribeca Grand Hotel room later on. The rest, unfortunately, allegedly occurred as described above. When Thompson provided the video evidence to Benjamin Brafman’s law firm, as a plead for help, she was not aware the Brafman was representing Weinstein.

Caitlin Dulany, an actress who claims Weinstein sexually assaulted her in 1996 at a Hotel du Cap hotel room, alleges that Weinstein performed oral sex on her without consent, and then masturbated.

Larissa Gomes, another actress, claims Weinstein became furious when she attempted to flee his Toronto hotel room without giving him a massage, or exposing her breasts for his pleasure. “You know Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Judd were exactly where you are at one point,” he allegedly told her. “Look at them now. Ashley Judd had no problem fucking me.” Weinstein allegedly tried to kiss her, before she told him her boyfriend was waiting, and fled.

Harvey Weinstein currently faces up to 25 years in prison, stemming from rape and criminal sexual charges in New York. He has, thus far, pleaded not guilty to all allegations of non-consensual sex.
