Snoop Dogg is apparently a fan of playing pranks on people.
On Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Matthew McConaughey dropped in to talk about the new movie he filmed with Snoop Dogg, The Beach Bum. During one scene, McConaughey revealed Snoop actually tricked him into smoking weed, what he has dubbed as getting “Snooped.”
McConaughey told Kimmel, “There’s a scene where I’m going to Snoop because I’ve got writers block and Snoop has the magic weed. So I went to the prop man to make sure I have the prop weed which is like crushed oregano.”
Snoop, however, got there first and swapped the prop weed for the actual thing. “We pass back and forth and all of sudden at the end he goes, ‘Yo Moondog’ [his character], that ain’t prop weed, that’s Snoop weed’ and I was like ‘Oh, you son of a a gun.' McConaughey added, “The next nine hours were a lot of fun but I don’t think we used one word in the English language.’”
While the plot for the comedy is being kept a secret, what we do know is that, fittingly, The Beach Bum is a film about a stoner. The movie also stars Zac Efron, Martin Lawrence, Jonah Hill, and Jimmy Buffet.
