Morgan Freeman Responds to Misconduct Allegations in New Statement: 'I Did Not Assault Women'

"I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex. Any suggestion that I did so is completely false."

Morgan Freeman has issued a second statement on the sexual harassment allegations made against him, Variety reports.

The 80-year-old actor was accused of sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct by multiple women on Thursday and released a brief statement apologizing later in the day. CNN published a report detailing the accusations, which ranged from unwanted sexual comments to touching.

“I am devastated that 80 years of my life is at risk of being undermined, in the blink of an eye, by Thursday’s media reports.
