Avengers: Infinity War already has a stacked cast of stars and superheros, but directors Joe and Anthony Russo recently announced their decision to add The Post and The Leftovers star Carrie Coon as a villain in the forthcoming Marvel film. Coon will voice and provide motion-capture for Proxima Midnight, a member of Thanos' evil Black Order. The in-demand actress also starred last year in Fargo season 3, nabbing an Emmy nomination, and recently finished shooting the films Kin and Widows.
The brothers announced Coon’s role in an interview with British magazine Radio Times, when asked if they could reveal “any other interesting voices in the Black Order.” “Carrie Coon is Proxima Midnight,” Joe Russo responded. Proxima Midnight is the only woman member in the Black Order.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit theaters on April 27. It’s already breaking records, reportedly becoming the longest superhero movie in Marvel Cinematic Universe history. The third installment is reported to have a running time of two hours and 36 minutes, passing Captain America: Civil War by 10 minutes.
The film also broke records when it comes to advertising, with Marvel dropping around $150 million for promotion alone. Infinity War is projected to open to more than $200 million at the box office. The movie has already sold more advance tickets than the record-setting Black Panther, and is selling more tickets than the last seven MCU entries combined. The film has been 10 years in the making, so it’s no surprise that it’s panning out to be one of the biggest blockbusters in history.
