The twelve jurors who will serve in Bill Cosby's sexual assault retrial have officially been selected.
According to Page Six, the identities of said jurors remains unknown, but they are comprised of five women and seven men. Two of them are African-American, and the rest are white. Most are middle aged except for one man who's reportedly in his 20s, and two women who look to be in their 60s.
The 80-year-old comedian is being retried in court over accusations that he drugged and molested former Temple University staffer Andrea Constand in 2004. The first trial saw Constand testify against Cosby. It ended in a mistrial after jurors deliberated for days. Constand is expected to take the stand again along with five other women. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Cosby paid Constand $3.5 million back in 2006 to remain silent about the assault.
To date, more than 50 women have come forward to accuse Cosby of sexual assault, some going back several decades. Most of the women recall Cosby offering them drinks laced with the sedative Quaaludes in order to take advantage of them. Cosby has repeatedly denied the accusations, however an old deposition obtained by CNN reveals Cosby's admission to giving drugs to women he wanted to sleep with.
120 prospective panelists will return to court Thursday so that prosecutors and Cosby’s defense team can pick the six remaining alternates to join the case.
