The Los Angeles Police Department is now investigating a sexual assault claim against Steven Seagal, who has been accused of various sexual misconduct allegations over the past few weeks, according to multiple reports. A public information officer for the LAPD told CBS this particular incident occurred in 2005.

The news comes after Regina Simons told The Wrapthat Seagal raped her after inviting her to a wrap party at his home. Simons, who was an extra in the 1994 film On Deadly Ground, claimed that his Beverly Hills home was empty when she arrived in 1993. She was only 18 years old at the time, while Seagal was in his early 40s.

“He took me into this room and then just closed the door and started kissing me," Simons explained. "He then took my clothes off, and before I knew it he was on top of me, raping me… I wasn’t sexually active yet. People always talk about fight-or-flight. But no one talks about the freeze."

Simons, now 43, later filed a report with the LAPD. She follows actress Faviola Dadis, who also filed a report claiming Seagal groped her during a 2002 audition. Other women who have come forward with sexual assault and misconduct claims include Portia de Rossi, Jenny McCarthy, Julianna Margulies, Rae Dawn Chong, and Lisa Guerrero. Chong stated Seagal once showed her “his junk” in his hotel room during an evening meeting set up by her agency and also left her multiple “sex messages” on her machine.

I had never met him before that night and never spoke to him again but for some reason he decided he could do this," Chong told The Wrap. "What burned me most was the agents. They got away with this and I was burned by them. I could not tell on them—who would I tell?"

As of press time, no other details have been disclosed about the LAPD's current investigation case.
