Jimmy Kimmel is quite skilled at getting people to reveal their idiocy on camera for millions of eventual viewers to see. Monday, Kimmel's team put that skill to the test on the streets of Hollywood with a special Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. edition of the recurring "Lie Witness News" segment.

"This is President Trump's first MLK day in office, and we wanted to do something special to commemorate that," Kimmel told his audience Monday. "So we went out on the streets this afternoon and we asked people 'Whose side are you on in the Donald Trump and Dr. King Twitter war?' Of course, Dr. Martin Luther King has been gone for 50 years, but did that stop people from weighing in on this impossible feud? No it did not." Naturally, hilarity doth ensue. Hopefully, Kimmel is planning to concoct similar experiments for his upcoming Oscars gig; he's hosting the Academy Awards ceremony live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood March 4. In an interview with Vulture back in October, Kimmel said he had no plans of shying away from the Harvey Weinstein fallout. "I have no interest in protecting Harvey Weinstein," he said. "I couldn't care less about Harvey Weinstein. Hopefully, he will get what he deserves and we'll all move on with our lives."

Nominees for this year's Oscars are set to be unveiled Jan. 23.
