'The Walking Dead' and 'Fear The Walking Dead' Will Cross Paths

A new 'TWD' sneak peek was also released.

Fans of The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking dead are in for a treat. While at New York Comic-Con's TWD panel, Robert Kirkman, the creator of the comics the AMC shows are based on, revealed that a character from one of the shows will appear on the other. No specifics were given.

"There is one character that is going to go from one show, that I will not name, to another show, that I will not name," Kirkman said. "This is a huge event in the world of The Walking Dead," he continued. "More news coming in the following months." The panel took place at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

A new three minute sneak peek trailer for The Walking Dead's upcoming eighth season was also released. The scene features Carl Grimes approaching strangers with his gun drawn. 

Season eight of The Walking Dead will premiere on October 22 on AMC and will run sixteen episodes long. There will be a break in the middle of the season as has been previously done.

Fear The Walking Dead, which premiered in 2015, was renewed for a fourth season earlier this year.
