The Best 2017 Horror Movies You Missed (In Under 90 Seconds)

Some of the year's best horror movies have been sitting right under your nose.

I'm assuming you're here because you're a fan of horror movies. If not, read on at your own risk.

Much like last year, 2017 has been a banner year for horror films. The breakout hits were Jordan Peele's groundbreaking film Get Out, which was an inside look at what it's like to be trapped in the home of an oppressive, abusive and violent family. It, on the other hand, is more familar to audiences, as it's a presentation of Stephen King's 1986 book of the same name; it was also adapted as a mini series in the '90s. That familiarity pushed It above The Exorcist this year, making it the highest-grossing horror film of all time. The highly anticipated sequel is set to drop in 2019.

Other films you might have missed: XX, a four-part anthology of horror shorts on Netflix that recall themes of the past, but through a woman's perspective. You can find more movies that flew under the radar here.
