This might be the first thing you’re hearing about Baby Driver, Edgar Wright’s first film in four years. But industry observers and fanboys have been buzzing about this one for a while, and after one look at the film’s blistering first trailer, it’s easy to see why.

Starring Ansel Elgort as the titular Baby (and yes, he’s also a driver), Baby Driver (which has been described as a car chase musical) looks like more of the dazzlingly stylish, whip-smart fare we’ve come to expect from Wright, whose films Shaun of The Dead and Hot Fuzz are both in the pantheon of contemporary classics.

And if the glowing reactions to the film’s Saturday night screening at SXSW are any indication, Baby Driver is well on its way to joining them there.

While we don’t really get a sense of it in the trailer, early reviews praised the film’s musical elements, with some critics calling it Wright’s very own La La Land—except with car chases. Lots and lots of car chases.

Joining Elgort is an impressive cast that includes Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm, Lily James, and Kevin Spacey as a snarky crime boss. In other words, we’ll see you on Aug. 11, when Baby Driver storms into theaters.
