Trippie Redd and Kodie Shane Reunite on "Love & Drugz II"

The new Kodie Shane and Trippie Redd track is a sequel of sorts to their 2016 collab "Love & Drugz." The new song is taken from Shane's upcoming full-length Epic Records debut.

Kodie Shane and Trippie Redd are back in love and drugs territory with their new collab.

In the OZ-produced "Love & Drugs II," the two trade lines about loneliness, soul-snatching, and demo-battling. Stream the new song below via SoundCloud or check out the animated video up top.

"Love & Drugz II" will appear on Shane's full-length Epic Records debut, which is set for release later this year. Speaking with Lil Yachty as part of an Interview magazine (RIP) feature back in January, Shane opened up about the difficulties of hitting a new level of near-mainstream visibility. "The hardest part for me so far has been like putting out my music that I really like, and not having people fuck with it like I do," she said. "I'm pretty sure everybody goes through that but that's been the hardest part for me. It was like damn, I really fuck with that and I thought they would fuck with that, you know what I'm saying?"

At the time, the album was projected to drop in March of this year. A new plan hasn't been confirmed, though a press release Friday said the drop was "imminent." Yachty and Shane will have multiple collaborations on the final tracklist.

Shane previously linked with Redd for the original "Love & Drugz," produced by ItsNotHarold, back in 2016. Last month, amid new songs with Julia Michaels and Smokepurpp, Redd was arrested and charged with battery and aggravated assault after allegedly hitting a woman with a pistol. According to an Atlanta Police Department statement cited by Billboard, Redd denied the allegation.
