World's Fair New Lows

Queens collective World's Fair revealed last month that their debut studio album, New Lows, was finally on the way. The release of the video for "Win4" proved that the group remain one of New York's most promising, and with the record finally out, they've cemented their place among the top tier.

Comprised of Remy Banks, Jeff Doona, Lanksy Jones, Nasty Nigel, Prince SAMO, DJ THOTH, and Cody B., there's a lot of World's Fair to get familiar with. Fortunately enough, they all have their own moments to shine on New Lows, meaning nobody gets buried under all the chaos. The 13-track effort is a strong showing all around, especially thanks to the way each rapper approaches the insane production.

From the moment the album opens with the huge "WF001," it's immediately evident they've delivered a project that more than lives up to their initial potential. The production, which manages to sound fresh while offering a throwback vibe at the same time, deserves a special shout-out in particular.
