Pusha-T and 070 Shake Perform Roots-Backed Version of "Santeria" on 'Fallon'

Pusha-T and 070 Shake brought one of the best songs of the year off one of the best albums of the year to 'The Tonight Show.' Fittingly, the Roots stepped up with some backing instrumentation.

I bet you didn't think you'd be waking up to a glorious performance of the DAYTONA cut "Santeria" featuring the Roots, but here we are and I am so goddamn stoked on it.

Thursday night, the Tonight Show pulled one hell of a trick by being very briefly watchable thanks to a musical performance from Pusha-T and 070 Shake of one of the best songs of the year off one of the best albums of the year. Catch the full performance via the video up top. After all, it's the perfect way to pass  the time while we wait for King Push to hopefully, eventually, mercifully release a freestyle atop Drake's "Summer Games."

070 Shake, who was also prominently featured on Kanye West's ye and Nas' Nasir, spoke with Complex back in June about the profound feeling of becoming a G.O.O.D. signee. "I think it's the dopest part of music," Shake said. "I see us as the Avengers, everybody else is Thanos. Francis & The Lights, he did a lot of extra stuff on ye, and he's really fucking dope. I became good friends with him, he's on the label too. I also love it because everybody has a really big heart, and their mission is bigger than getting plays. It's a lot about spreading love, and I love that."

Next for Pusha is the DAYTONA Tour featuring Sheck Wes and Valee. Attendance is mandatory.
