About a week after unleashing his dominating fifth studio album, Drake returns to OVO Sound Radio for a special guest mix under the October Firm moniker. So you know there’s something good in store.
For those who aren’t familiar with the name, October Firm is a joint effort between Drizzy and OVO Sound host Oliver El-Khatib. The last time we heard a set by the firm was in June 2017, when the duo curated a Louis Vuitton playlist that included the never-before-heard track “Signs.”
So, will this week’s OVO Sound episode deliver new Drake material? Fans are hopeful.
Shortly before the broadcast, the 6 God hit up social media with a couple of teasers. One was a video promo, and the other was the episode 65 cover art that was captioned: “Back on OVO sound radio today with a little post Scorpion mix for my people.”
It’s unclear what the “Scorpion mix” will entail. Some believe October Firm will drop standalone records—like the newly released “Behind Barz” freestyle—while others believe Scorpion remixes are on deck.
Whatever the duo has in store, we’re sure fans won’t be disappointed.
