6ix9ine Hospitalized After Reportedly Being Kidnapped and Robbed (UPDATE)

6ix9ine was kidnapped, robbed, and hospitalized early Sunday morning, reports TMZ. The rapper was heading home from working on a music video in Brooklyn when the incident occurred.

UPDATED 1:46 p.m. ET: 6ix9ine has told a very different story to the police from what was originally reported, according to an update from TMZ. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the rapper said he was a passenger in a Chevy Tahoe at a Brooklyn intersection at about 4:25 a.m. on Sunday morning. He said he was sitting at a red light when a car bumped the vehicle he was in from behind and two men with guns jumped out. According to 6ix9ine, the two men then stole the driver's iPhone, took the rapper into their vehicle, and drove away.

According to law enforcement, they drove to Tekashi's home. He called someone inside (probably the mother of his child) and asked the contact to come out with his jewelry, and the person complied. Sources told TMZ that 6ix9ine managed to escape, called the police, and then became uncooperative. He checked himself into the hospital. The source of the injuries has not been confirmed.

6ix9ine was kidnapped, robbed, and hospitalized early Sunday morning, reports TMZ. The rapper was heading home from working on a music video in Brooklyn when the incident occurred.

Tekashi69 was driving home around 4 a.m. When he arrived, someone reportedly pulled up in another vehicle and blocked his driveway. Sources told TMZ that three gunmen wearing hoods got out of the car, grabbed 6ix9ine, and pistol-whipped him. He was left unconscious.

According to the sources' account, the first thing Tekashi remembers is waking up in the back seat of the car. The gunmen were driving and told him that they would kill him if they didn't get what they wanted. They were demanding him to hand over cash and jewelry. The men returned to 6ix9ine's home and two of them went inside with him, while one guarded the car. The gunmen reportedly took about $750k in jewelry and $15k and $20k in cash.

The gunmen then drove away with 6ix9ine still in the backseat. At one point, he was able to open the door of the car and jumped out. One of the gunmen started to chase him but stopped because he was afraid he would later be recognized. 6ix9ine then jumped into a stranger's car, asked for help, and the stranger called 911. He was then taken to a hospital by ambulance, where he remains.

Various tests, including CT scans, are being performed, according to TMZ. The report comes hours after Tekashi released his Nicki Minaj collaboration, "FeFe."
