As is fairly often the case, this morning I woke up, damn near threw up, then immediately felt like I was dead. Apparently, there's a Lil Xan song for that.

Friday, Vevo announced Xan as their first LIFT-spotlighted artist of the year. In partnership with Vevo over the coming weeks, Xan will be dropping an assortment of exclusive content ranging from live performances to behind-the-scenes clips from his Total Xanarchy-inspired travels. First, Xan has unleashed a new alternate music video for his Danny Wolf-assisted single "Wake Up," i.e. that aforementioned account of waking up/throwing up/feeling dead. Catch it in full up top.

In an interview with Fuse last month, Xan kept it candid when discussing his generation's impact on the music industry at large. "This is what our generation has, and all these artists come from SoundCloud are now having Billboard hits, songs on the radio," he said. "So it's like, are we really not considered as good just because where we came from? So stupid, so stupid. We're dominating the game, to be honest."

This new take on "Wake Up" arrives just one day after the official video for Xan's Charli XCX-featuring Total Xanarchy cut "Moonlight." Since there's no such thing as a bad time to listen to XCX, you might as well revisit that below.
