Khalid's NPR Tiny Desk Concert Is Here

Khalid hits the NPR studio for stripped down takes on "Young Dumb & Broke," "Location," and "Saved." The three-song acoustic set follows the release of Khalid and Normani's "Love Lies" remix featuring Rick Ross.

There's no such thing as a bad NPR Tiny Desk concert. The format routinely results in the definitive live versions of artists' most cherished cuts. At the very least, fans are given some rip-worthy alternates. The latest Tiny Desk entry, featuring Khalid, is no exception.

The three-song set includes intimate versions of "Young Dumb & Broke," "Location," and "Saved." Looking back on the creation of "Saved," Khalid imagined what a certain detractor in the SoundCloud comments of his original upload of the track might be up to these days. "I honestly couldn't tell you what that guy is doing with his life but he's not doing this," he said.

Below, catch the full three-song set:

Last week, Khalid grabbed Rick Ross for the remix to his Normani collab "Love Lies." Normani and Khalid previously linked up for the "Young Dumb & Broke" video. "She's such a cool girl, she's so nice, and she's such a sweetheart," Khalid told MTV Newslast year. "I'm just thankful that she's in the video because I'm pretty sure it's not the first thing that we're going to be in together . . . I would love to [collaborate]. The chemistry is there, so definitely the song or the piece or whatever would be great."

Khalid will soon be overseas for a run of shows hitting Milan, Dublin, and more. In August, he's back stateside for the Breakaway Columbus and Breakaway Grand Rapids music festivals. See the full lineups below.
