Nas' new seven-track album NASIR has arrived after a listening session took place in Queens on Thursday night.
The Kids Are Our Future. NASIR out everywhere tomorrow! Executive Produced by @kanyewest #NASIR pic.twitter.com/gpRUBT7FPU
Now that the album, which was executive produced by Kanye West, has been uploaded to Tidal and Apple Music, we have our hands on the credits for the project. NASIR boasts features from Puff Daddy, 070 Shake, The-Dream, and more. On the sample side of things, the track “Cops Shot the Kid” uses a clip of Richard Pryor, and prominently features a sample of Slick Rick’s “Children’s Story” while “Adam and Eve” samples Kourosh Yaghmaei’s “Gole Yakh.” "Bonjour" contains a sample of R. D. Burman’s "Dance Music" from Mukti and "Not for Radio" contains samples from the score to The Hunt for Red October by Basil Poledouris.
NASIR is Nas' first album since 2012's Life Is Good.
