Birdman Reportedly Agrees to Sell Miami Mansion After Defaulting on Payments

Birdman is officially bidding adieu to his Miami mansion and stepping away from a $12 million legal battle, opting to sell his beachside property to pay back a defaulted loan instead.

Birdman is officially bidding adieu to his Miami mansion, according to a report from The Blast. He’s stepping away from a $12 million legal battle, and has instead opted to sell his beachside property.

The mansion, which previously belonged to Scott Storch, is a nine-bedroom, 17-bath home with 25-foot ceilings, a below ground pool, an outdoor pool, a movie theater, gym, spa, an in-house massage room, and a private dock, according to documents The Blast got ahold of. Birdman bought it for $14.5 million from Storch back in 2012.

Now the Cash Money Records founder will be selling the house “as is” for a depreciated $13.5 million. Previously, the hip-hop mogul was forced to hand over the keys to his mansion as collateral for a $12 million loan he defaulted on from EMG Transfer Agent. A judge previously appointed someone to take over control over the home, receiving all contracts, leases, rental agreements, fixtures, furniture, and equipment. The judge originally ruled that the home couldn’t be sold or transferred, but the two entities have now reached a deal to let Birdman sell the mansion through a third party.

He previously tried to sell the mansion for $20 million last year. Rick Ross saw this move as an opportunity to clown Birdman for his money and legal troubles. “You ain’t have no money in six-seven years, n***a. You should have came and borrowed some from Rozay. Now you want to fuck that old lady life up too. You probably borrowing some money from her,” Ross said. “I might go buy that house on the water. Just to keep my boat at it. I won’t even stay there, that shit is too small.”

This could signal the end of another one of Birdman’s legal troubles, after settling his lawsuit with Lil Wayne for an undisclosed large sum last week.
