OVO Sound Radio has returned for Memorial Day weekend.
Assuming you don’t live under a rock, you’re aware that these past few days have been pretty eventful for Drake. The OVO boss found himself on the receiving end of Pusha-T’s diss track “Infrared,” which included a reference to Drake’s alleged use of a ghostwriter.
Though many assumed Drizzy would fire back during this week’s installment of OVO Sound Radio, he ended up dropping his “Duppy Freestyle” response via Soundcloud on Friday night, just hours after Pusha released his third studio album DAYTONA.
Drake’s track challenged Pusha’s drug dealing claims, questioned Pusha’s relevancy in the game, and also took shots at Pusha’s good friend and G.O.O.D. Music partner Kanye West.
The two then exchanged more shots on social media. At one point, Drake sent Pusha a $100,000 invoice for “promotional assistance and career reviving.” Whether you think the move was either savage or corny, you have to admit that this drama is getting pretty entertaining. Will the reignited beef make its way onto OVO Sound? You’ll have to tune in to find out.
