J. Cole and Lil Pump Interviewed Each Other, Here's a Preview

DJ Akademiks shared a short preview of the conversation on Tuesday evening.

We didn't see this one coming. After meeting each other for the first time at Rolling Loud in Miami earlier this month, J. Cole and Lil Pump decided to sit down and interview each other.

Everyday Struggle co-host DJ Akademiks shared a preview clip of their interview Tuesday evening. Taken out of context from the rest of the conversation, the short snippet is a little difficult to follow, but Pump is heard talking about getting in an argument with someone over the smell of weed in a house.

Pump first claimed he and Cole were "on good terms now" during an interview at the Billboard Music Awards this weekend. This came after weeks of awkwardness between the two because of J. Cole's KOD closer, "1985 - Intro to 'The Fall Off,'" which many fans perceived to be a Lil Pump diss song

Akademiks said the two "actually fuck with each other" in a follow-up video on YouTube Tuesday night. He explained, "There is an interview that will be surfacing very soon between J. Cole and Lil Pump."

He also added, "They're just really talking candidly about all types of things and they're trying to bridge the gap generationally."

During a recent interview with Angie Martinez, J. Cole was asked what he thought of "the Lil rappers" and he said, "I love them.... I actually fuck with their music. It's not like I drive around listening to it, but I've spent time with it. It's fun." He added that there might be detrimental long-term effects from some of the messages, but he understood the appeal.

It's not yet clear when the full interview between Pump and Cole will surface, but Akademiks promises that "it should come out soon."
