Earlier this month, several women alleged Ameer Vann of Brockhampton had been "emotionally manipulative and mentally abusive." Shortly after, further accusations of abusive behavior and claims he had sexual relations with a minor surfaced. Ameer denied the claims of physical abuse and sex with a minor in a statement he made on Twitter, although he did admit to his hurtful manipulative behavior. Now, Brockhampton has collectively announced that Ameer is no longer part of the group.

"Ameer is no longer in Brockhampton," their statement reads. "We want to sincerely apologize to the victims affected by Ameer's actions. We were lied to, and we're sorry for not speaking up sooner." All of Brockhampton were deactivated on Twitter as the allegations came to light, and as such they faced criticism for not handling the matter in a speedier fashion.

"We do not tolerate abuse of any kind. This not a solution to their suffering, but we hope this is a step in the right direction. We are going to cancel the remaining dates of our current US tour to go home and regroup." The group will no longer play the remaining shows on their current US tour, which was expected fro go on from May 25 through to August 3. It's unclear if their European dates will be impacted.

Fans began speculating that Ameer had been booted from the group when they showed up to Boston Calling yesterday (May 26) without him performing. The Brockhampton sub-Reddit pointed out how when his verses were to appear in the songs, the group simply stood there on stage silent as the beat played.

At one point, Joba started crying during one of the songs before he was consoled by Dom McLennon. The moment set Kevin off, too, as he covered his face as the song "Bleach" reached its climax.

Earlier this week (May 23), Kevin Abstract addressed the allegations on Instagram Live, hinting that the release of their fourth studio album, PUPPY, had been pushed back. "I don't agree with anything Ameer has admitted to, and I've talked with him about that," he explained. "He's been getting help for, like, over the past year."

During the livestream, he announced that they were "probably" going to push the album from its originally intended release date of June, although he seemed hopeful they'd release a new single at the very least. He also teased the opening track from the album, "Ready for War," which still had Ameer Vann rapping on it.

Ameer is an original member of Brockhampton, and was a part of Kevin Abstract's previous group, ALIVESINCEFOREVER. Brockhampton recently signed with RCA records in March for a reported $15 million.
