Tee Grizzley and Lil Yachty Flex on New Collab "2 Vaults"

"2 Vaults" is off Tee Grizzley's upcoming project 'Activated.'

Next month, Tee Grizzley will release his new project, Activated, and fans get a taste of what's to come today with "2 Vaults" featuring Lil Yachty.

The song debuted on Beats 1 Radio as Zane Lowe’s World Record, where Grizzley also tapped in for a quick convo about the collaboration. "Yachty is a real dude. He’s a person who sticks to his word," Grizzley explained on what he loves about the ATL rapper. "He give you his word, he’s going to stick to it. And he’s going to be his self. He’s going to be himself no matter who’s around, no matter what position he’s in. And he’s got a big heart. I rock with Yachty the long way."

When prompted by Lowe about Yachty's recent claim that's he a better rapper than 75 percent of his peers, Grizzley replied, "I done heard him rap before, he got some crazy bars... Yachty really can put lyrics together. Yachty go crazy. "

Ever since "First Day Out" flooded the streets, and then the Billboard charts, Grizzley has been on a tear as far as output, releasing My Moment last spring, his Bloodas project with Lil Durk in December, and now Activated, all in the span of 13 months. Don't think for a second the Detroit rapper is letting his foot off the accelerator, especially when it comes to the competition.

"I feel like Activated is going to be bad for a lot of rappers because they’re not going to be able to get by with all the BS they’ve been getting away with," he said. "I really hope that they enjoy themselves and have fun and get their shine on because when Activated drops, it’s over with."

Hit play on "2 Vaults" and be on the lookout for Grizzley's Activated to drop May 11. Pre-order for the project is available now.
