It would appear as though some very sneaky thieves made off with $820,000 of Usher’s jewelry and another $20,000 in cash. The “U Remind Me” singer’s estranged wife, Grace Miguel, reported the incident to the LAPD. As per the police report, Miguel went to the authorities after being notified by her housekeeper, who told her what had happened on March 29.

The housekeeper told Miguel that she “discovered a footprint on the second floor, a handprint on the pillow in the lower floor, and the curtains to the lower floor window were open” when she came to the house that morning. Miguel told police that the housekeeper went to check the security footage, but “the recording box was missing and connecting wires were cut.” So much for catching the thieves on tape.

When Miguel got to the house, which is currently on the market, she confirmed that some jewelry was gone and called Usher to let him know. Also missing: $20,000 from a box on the nightstand—we’re assuming it wasn’t for the Tooth Fairy.

A week prior to the incident, the housekeeper noticed one of the singer’s rings missing. Days later, she noticed more jewelry missing, but she assumed Usher had the items in his possession, which included a $200,000 rose gold Jesus necklace and six watches (one of which was $220,000). Damn, how much was the house?

Anyway, Miguel believes the thieves must have unlocked a window during open house. She told police she thinks they stole the jewelry first and then came back for the security footage. LAPD is currently investigating the theft. Miguel told police she would get a list of attendees to the open house from the realtor, which may help them identify potential suspects.
