Fabolous Reportedly Asked for a Delay in Emily B. Domestic Abuse Case

Fabolous’s lawyer appeared in front of a judge and asked for a last-minute delay.

Fabolous was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats, however, his lawyer asked for a last-minute delay without any explanation, according to Bossip. The judge granted his attorney’s request, reportedly re-scheduling the rapper to return in May.

Fabolous turned himself in to authorities in Englewood, New Jersey in late March following allegations that he hit Emily Bustamante, allegedly resulting in the loss of two of her teeth. During a verbal altercation with Emily B.’s father and brother last month, Fab allegedly told them that he had a bullet for them. TMZobtained footage of the incident, which shows the moment when the rapper made the threat while brandishing what appears to be a sharp object.

This entire mess of a situation allegedly started when Fabolous “became enraged” while on a business trip on March 7 after discovering on Instagram that he and Emily B. were both in Los Angeles at the same time. During her flight back from L.A., she received a text from Fab saying that he wanted to hit her in the head with a baseball bat and kill her but he “did not want to go out like that.” Bustamante claims that she was later punched in the face seven times by the rapper.

Fabolous is reportedly facing three to five years in state prison, if he’s found guilty of the charges. The pair have two children together.
