This year has been good to Tee Grizzley fans. On Wednesday, the Detroit native dropped off another new song “Don’t Even Trip,” featuring Moneybagg Yo.

The song premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show on Wednesday, where Tee explained why he loves the song so much. “I'm used to like putting pain on my lyrics,” he said. “You know I really come from nothing. I really tell a lot of stories. I want people to know who I am. ‘Don't Even Trip’ gave me a chance to really like put some swag on a song. I put the sauce on it.”

Over a gritty, ominous beat, the two MCs wax poetic about not letting the competition get to you. And it wouldn’t be a Tee Grizzley song without him touching on his trademark theme of coming from nothing: “Came a long way for my city/I made it out of them trenches,” he raps.

Since February, Tee's dropped a new video for the song “Colors,” a remix for “First Day Out” featuring Meek Mill, and the collaborative song “Became Legends” with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. He finished 2017 strong too, with the release of his collaborative tape with Lil Durk, Bloodas, in December.

With such a big year already, hopefully this means we'll see Tee's debut album Activated sometime soon.
