Last year, Nelly was arrested following allegations of rape. He subsequently denied these allegations after a brief period of silence on the matter, with more women coming forward accusing him of sexual assault shortly after. When his accuser stated that she wouldn't testify against him, the case against Nelly remained open, with him filing a countersuit against her. Now Page Six is reporting that his accuser wants the case against her dropped, reiterating that her allegation is true.

In new documents obtained by The Blast, she states that there are no grounds for defamation. Monique Greene alleges Nelly and his team are libeling her, attempting to kickstart the career of “a performing artist who peaked in popularity a decade or so ago.” Nelly sued Greene for defamation after she sued him for sexual assault and defamation last December.

Greene now wants the countersuit dismissed, with her explaining that Nelly's girlfriend Shantel Jackson is helping "further his defamation campaign" against her. Jackson has denied the allegations and stands behind him.

Greene has said that Nelly brought her to his tour bus last October, and started masturbating before forcing himself on her. She alleges that he had non-consensual oral and vaginal sex with her. In the wake of the allegations against him, Nelly has said that the media have been treating him unfairly
