Nipsey Hussle gave Zane Lowe the pleasure of premiering his new Kendrick Lamar collab Tuesday.

"I felt like [Lamar] killed it," Hussle told Lowe during their Beats 1 discussion. "He actually talked about something that happened the night of the 'Pac [biopic All Eyez on Me] premiere, if you really listen to his verse. He's talking about me, Snoop Dogg, Top Dawg, and himself, we really had a conversation about just LA street shit and about how the time might be right for us right now to use our influence to evolve how we exist. He speaks about that in his verse."

Hussle also talked about his upcoming debut studio album Victory Lap, which arrives this Friday.

"I felt like I've wanted my debut album to be called Victory Lap based on what happened on my first approach to the game," Hussle said of the album's title. "Me being signed to Epic Records, the deal not really turning into a release, and not really panning out. I wanted to take what really happened, me going back to the independent space, building the mixtape career. I wanted to use that truth and when I did go back to a major label official album debut, I wanted to represent the completion of me coming out of a bad situation, taking things into my own hands and just figuring it out."

The rest of the Victory Lap tracklist is an equally stacked affair. The-Dream, CeeLo Green, Marsha Ambrosius, Puff Daddy, YG, Stacy Barthe, Buddy, and TeeFlii also make appearances.

In January, Hussle dropped off the official video for the YG-featuring single "Last Time That I Checc'd," directed by Sergio.
