Starting a rap career is harder than you think. Just ask Cedric Miller, an aspiring rapper in Memphis. According to local station WREG, Miller was so desperate to get his career going that he attempted to rob a Memphis Wingstop just to get the attention of Rick Ross. As I hope you know by now, Ross is an owner of multiple locations of the franchise, including the one Miller targeted.

In surveillance footage obtained by WREG and used in the clip above, Miller and his robbery crew jump behind the counter of the restaurant for a cash grab. They managed to get away, but police received a tip identifying Miller as one of the robbers. They put him in a lineup, and a Wingstop employee was able to identify him, leading to his arrest.

According to police, Miller's sole motive for the robbery was to get Young Rénzél's attention, in the hopes of landing a record deal. Since his dumb ass is likely in jail right now, it seems pretty unlikely he's going to be signed to anything. As for a response from Rozay, there is none—yet. His latest IG post is a lyric video for his actual Maybach Music signee Wale's take on SZA's "The Weekend." Meanwhile on Twitter, his most recent activity is a retweet of the official Checkers and Rally's account, another restaurant he's invested in.

Hey #CESBlackout, we've got power AND fries just down the road a bit. You could even take a picture with the burger there with your new, fancy, multi-spectrum, 4D, AR-enabled optical implants!!

(we're just assuming they put those in the gift bags) 🙂https://t.co/xbmbZ3FX6H

Maybe Miller should have tried robbing a Checkers and Rally's instead?
