As Vibe and others pointed out Tuesday, Future's A&R hit Instagram with what some have construed as a hint of Beast Mode 2's release. Specifically, some are pointing to this Friday—Jan. 18—as the day Future and Zaytoven are planning to surprise-drop the project.
The pattern mentioned in the caption above is as follows: Dirty Sprite arrived Jan. 11 of 2011, followed by similarly timed releases (i.e. Astronaut Status on Jan. 12 of 2012, and so on). The proposed pattern isn't perfect, as it skips 2014 and doesn't tidily explain Purple Reign's drop date discrepancy, so tread carefully.
Still, fans are hopeful that Beast Mode 2 is days away:
It's also worth noting that Future kicked off 2018 by wiping his Instagram clean, which may or may not be a sign that something is brewing. Until then, enjoy the recently released (and terrifyingly snake-filled) video for Future and Young Thug's Super Slimey single "Mink Flow."
